The EASY incl. project supports European development for informal learning and life experience learning in an open learning environment. It will produce results and effects on 3 levels:

• Individual level: to inspire people to learn and to show that learning is fun indeed
• Organizational level: to enable organisations to promote and develop informal learning
• Societal level: to be a building block in the European efforts to raise participation in continuing education.

December 2010: We have extended the project period by 1 month, because we improve the DVD with subtitles in all partner languages. And we also will print the EASY handbook in German, Turkish and Bulgarian.

November 2010: The last recordings for the dvd are made. We are very excited about the final result, coming on the end of December.

October 2010: 3rd partnermeeting and the International Learning Festival Convention in Düsseldorf, Germany. The Learning Festival was a raving success, also because of the good preparations made during the 3rd partner meeting. Our guests were leaders from institutions and organizations, opinion leaders from networks and associations as well as people from the education sector. The program included interesting speeches, many practical examples to experience informal learning, a panel discussion about the importance and validation of informal learning in Europe and much more. September 2010: The editorial work for our EASY handbook is started. It should be ready for the International Learning Festival Convention. So that each visitor can take a copy.

July - August 2010: The agenda of the International Learning Festival Convention on 7th October, 2010 in Düsseldorf is fixed. If you are interested in potential and opportunities for informal learning and for more details note our invitation.

Juni 2010: This month the second meeting of the advisory board with experts in the field of informal learning took place in Tübingen. Many points has been discussed. For example: How to make our project results available and how to compile a basic concept for the Training of Trainers for informal learning

Of course you can meet the experts at the conference in Düsseldorf!

Mai 2010: The video sequences about the implementation of the non-formal and informal learning settings in Bulgaria, Slovenia, Finland, Turkey and Germany has been finished! As a next step, they will be compiled for our DVD "Easy to join education - Inclusion for all!". The results will be presented at our final conference in October.

April 2010: The final international conference will be on seventh October, 2010. The Idea is not only to arrange an international conference but also a learning festival. We want to present a different view on education. Preparations are in full swing!

March 2010: Our second main result in the EASY project is a DVD. It is intended to supplement the handbook. To demonstrate non-formal and informal learning possibilities and to give tips for your own implementation. The work for the DVD is started.

February 2010: The structure of the EASY handbook is clear, so the stakeholder prepare the first articles. There will be an explanatory part, a theoretical part and a practical part. We are getting excited about our handbook!

January 2010: One product of the ‘EASY project‘ will be our handbook, that includes a description of the proven approaches for informal learning. To give information about the concept, to share our project experiences and to present best practice examples. The preparations for the handbook are running.

December 2009: The project partners planning upcoming valorisation meetings or are currently undertaking. The small valorisation meetings are conducted to get feedback to the ‘EASY concept’, to reflect on the work and to gain new insights.

November 2009: The midway through the project! The partners are very satisfied with the preliminary findings. The collaboration is fun and achieves good results in each partner country. Everyone is looking forward to the final conference. Read more about the partner activities.

October 2009: 2nd partner meeting in Ljubjiana, Slovenia. There was an intensive exchange about the plannings of the non formal and informal activities, about the advantages and challenges and about the changes in the working processes by the implementation of the „EASY-Idea“. The participants have also concretized the main products from the project and generated ideas for the final conference.

September 2009: First exciting non formal and informal learning situations have taken place in Turkey and in Germany. For example, how to behave in traffic or how to use local products to eat healthier? Read more about the realization of the learning situations.

At the same time the SVEB learning festival took place in Switzerland. Some of the project partners were in Zürich. Their enthusiasm was so great that now the festival learning idea is being adapted for the final EASY project conference at the 7th of October 2010 in Germany.
   
August 2009: A meeting between the project coordinator and Ruth Jermann from Schweizerischer Verband für Erwachsenenbildung (SVEB) took place at 14th of August. The SVEB will join the project as an associated partner. With the participants of the annual learning festival a training for informal learning supporters will be realized and evaluated in Zürich. learn more about the learning festival...

July 2009: After the Trainings for the informal learning supporters has been closed, the partners have start to develop and realize non-formal and informal learning situation in their organization. The activities will be documented afterward, including video material.

April - June 2009: The pilot trainings of informal learning supporters will take place in the period from April to June 2009. If you are interested in taking part please contact the national coordinators.

February - March 2009: All partners work intensively on the concepts for the pilot trainings of informal learning supporters.

January 12-16, 2009: Kick-off meeting in Helsinki, Finland. The partners get to know each other, discuss management issues, exchange their views and concepts of informal learning and start working on the training concept of the EASY incl. informal learning supporter.

December 2008: The project EASY incl. starts.

!!! Final conference at the 7th of October 2010 in Düsseldorf!!!

On 7th October, 2010, you are invited to Düsseldorf to the International Learning Festival, organised by the Paritätisches Bildungswerk NRW. In the spirit of the motto, "study on the move, for everyone, anytime, anywhere”, we shall be looking at possibilities for informal learning on site, and you will have the opportunity to recognise and try them out.
